Why Clean Beauty?
“I believe that Clean Beauty is an essential part of living a healthy lifestyle. As much as we care about what we put into our bodies with our diet, we ought to be aware about what we put on our skin as it’s the largest organ in our body. Understanding what is in your skincare also allows for you to know if the ingredients are actually effective or not, which helps determine the true value of a product.
We believe that you can achieve radiant healthy skin and address various skin concerns such as acne, anti-aging, dryness and dullness utilizing effective plant based botanicals without using controversial ingredients or fillers. Okoko Cosmetiques is a green beauty brand that combines the efficacy of clinical skin care and the safety of innovative natural ingredients.”

Your self care ritual: An indulgent weekly event or finding moments whenever you can get them?
“My self-care ritual usually involves a diffuser, a mask, and a book in hand on personal development, spirituality or leadership. Self-care is also escaping with a good, intriguing series usually while treating myself to healthy fruits and dessert and relaxing with my dog. Self-care for me is also going for long walks with my loved ones and enjoying breathtaking views of Vancouver or catching up with my family.”

The one product you could never live without…
“Sublime balm! Its color, scent, and artisanal process is fascinating.”

I feel most beautiful when…
“I get a full night of sleep and wake up feeling rested and energized, I feel my skin looks most radiant then. I also feel beautiful when I am myself with my style and personality. Being yourself is beautiful!”

What’s the #1 piece of advice you would you tell your past self just getting started?
“Believe in yourself first because it will sustain you along the way. You don’t need to rush the process, do it step by step. And even if you feel you don’t have it all figured out, don’t worry. You will figure out things as you go.”
